The 1,400 kg RGP18R Grapple has been designed and tested with demolition in mind. Compatible with carriers in the 16 to 20 tonne range. The Rammer RGP18R grapple is suitable for both demolition and material handling applications.
RGP18R
Features
-
Double motor rotation with protection valve
The double motor rotation with check valve delivers extremely high load holding and rotation forces.
The protected rotation system allows precision tool placement, lowering/reducing owning and operating costs.
The rotation is equipped with a shock valve, which limits the force applied to the structure and thus eliminates pressure spikes. This increases the lifetime of your equipment (incl. both demolition equipment and excavator).
-
Hydraulic dampening of end position for cylinder
Avoids hard contact between on cylinder at extreme position. This protects the structure and increases the service life of the equipment.
-
Double cylinder design
Two cylinders at wide distance deliver optimum force distribution on the grapple halves.
-
Perforated grapple arms
The perforated grapple arms are made of wear resistant steel. The perforated design increases the torsional strength of the grapple at reduced weight.
The perforated design also reduces the amount of material (incl. rebar) which is trapped in the grapple arms, and allows at the same time for optimized visibility to the material.
-
90° opening of grapple
The 90° opening of the grapple makes high quality work possible on flat surfaces, such as cleaning of containers or walls including work on insulation or similar.
-
Robust mechanical endstopper
A robust mechanical stopper protects the grapple against overload from cylinder in end position (open).
-
Load holding valve
The load holding valve is an important safety function for the site, as it secures the load in the grapple and prevents dropping the load in case of a hydraulic failure.
The load holding valve also reduces overheating of the hydraulic oil, as there is no need to have the grapple closing function constantly activated during a work cycle.
The load holding valve adds to the operator's work comfort and speed, as the operator focus need not be constantly on the load in the grapple, but rather could focus also on where to place the load.
-
Field replaceable double blade cutter
The double blade cutters can be switched and rotated (left - right, up - down) three times to give a long service life.
The bolt-on design makes service safer, easier and quicker, as compared to a welded construction.
-
Hardened pins and bushings
Hardened parts are more wear resistant, extending their working life and lowering owning and operating costs
Applications
-
Primary demolition
Demolition of standing buildings and structures.
-
Secondary demolition
Demolition of larger pieces on the ground (size reduction, separation and preliminary sorting tasks)
-
Recycling
Re-using parts or material which has been extracted from existing buildings or structures.
Recyclng of products: Re-use of material or parts as such
Recycling of material: Re-use of material for other purposes
- Material handling
-
Landscaping
Gardening, graveyard and landscaping applications, hard ground and removal of smaller boulders, concrete fundaments or similar.
